Yamaha New HS-1100 Hi-Hat Stand Innovative Drum Product
{16060.jpgrYamaha Drums expands its hardware line with the debut of the HS-1000 and HS-1100 Hi-Hat stands at Summer NAMM 2001. Both models feature completely new and innovative leg designs that have a great feel and are as sturdy as a traditional hi-hat stand.
Both models also feature new, wider footboard design, with a heel Velcro® strip for use on carpeted surfaces, plus a rubber cymbal support and locking clutch which provide stability without affecting the timbre or natural decay of the cymbals. Both stands also include a very handy drum key holder, and can accommodate mounting of a double pedal securely to the stand (with the HSAT-930 attachment).
"The convenient design of these stands will open up more 'real estate' throughout the kit, and enable a drummer to position additional hardware without compromising space," notes Jerry Andreas, Drum marketing manager, Pro Audio & Combo Division. "Positioning a double bass drum pedal, for instance, has never been easier."
The HS-1100 features Yamaha's exclusive Toggle Link System—an offset pulley (as opposed to a direct pull design)—that results in smooth, nimble foot action. The unique T-Leg design with one double-braced leg provides performance stability while requiring less space for additional hardware. The HS-1100 is currently available.
"The 'feel' of these new stands is great, and the T-Leg design is probably one of the best innovations to come since the invention of the Hi-Hat stand itself," adds David Jewell, Drum product manager.
