Yamaha New HS-1000 Hi-Hat Stand With Space-Saving Features
Yamaha Drums expands its hardware line with the debut of the HS-1000 and HS-1100 Hi-Hat stands at Summer NAMM 2001. Both models feature completely new and innovative leg designs that have a great feel and are as sturdy as a traditional hi-hat stand.
{16059.jpgrBoth models also feature new, wider footboard design, with a heel Velcro® strip for use on carpeted surfaces, plus a rubber cymbal support and locking clutch which provide stability without affecting the timbre or natural decay of the cymbals. Both stands also include a very handy drum key holder, and can accommodate mounting of a double pedal securely to the stand (with the HSAT-930 attachment).
The HS-1000 features two double-braced legs that deliver the same stability as standard three-leg systems, while requiring less space. A flexible rotating leg design—complete with large rubber feet and extendable spike—allows the legs to be moved in relation to the foot pedal and remain secure. The HS-1000 is currently available.
"The convenient design of these stands will open up more 'real estate' throughout the kit, and enable a drummer to position additional hardware without compromising space," notes Jerry Andreas, Drum marketing manager, Pro Audio & Combo Division. "Positioning a double bass drum pedal, for instance, has never been easier."
