Latin Percussion instruments LP Mic Lug new way to miking Conga
LP has a long history of designing devices that connect disparate items and reduce stage clutter. The legendary Claw is a perfect example. Now we’re proud to introduce the LP Mic Lug. An ingenious accessory, it makes conga miking easier and reduces the jumbles of traditional mic stand bases and booms that get in the way of musical performance. Perhaps equally important, since it becomes an integral epart of the conga, the LP Mic Lug will not get lost in transit.
It’s a simple and timely concept. The new Mic Lug simply substitutes for one of LP’s tuning lugs. Designed so that it will not impede resonance, it incorporates a receiver into which the conguero or sound engineer can insert a gooseneck and mini-microphone. Then the gooseneck is secured by means of the generous wing nut. The result is a flawless system that the player can take from gig to gig without fear of disengagement.
The LP Mic Lug will accommodate rods and goosenecks up to 3/8" and is finished in durable chrome and gold. It is designed to attach quickly to congas from all LP series.
