Drum Workshop adds double bass drum pedal models to dual/accessory hi-hat line.

Drum Workshop, Inc has announced the addition of two new models to its recently introduced line of Dual/Accessory Hi-Hats. Similar in concept to DW's original 5520 Dual/Accessory Hi-Hat- which features a DW5500TD Rotating Two-Leg Delta II Hi-Hat stand with an accessory clamp and auxiliary pedal mounted on the left of a single pedal plate- the new 5530 and 5525 combine a 5500TD Hi-Hat with a DW Delta II auxiliary double bass drum/accessory pedal and clamp mounted on the right.

{16004.jpgrTo facilitate the use of the auxiliary pedal as either an accessory pedal or the left side of a double bass drum pedal, the 5530 and 5525 incorporate a newly-developed, foot-activated switching mechanism. This exclusive device greatly simplifies multiple pedal set-ups while allowing contemporary drummers to play percussion accessories (such as cowbells, jamblocks, and tambourines) with their feet or perform advanced double bass drum techniques by merely changing the position of the switch.

The 5530 (suggested list price: $779) comes complete with both sides of a DW5002AD Delta II Accelerator Double Bass Drum Pedal. The 5525 (slp: $439) includes the auxiliary (left) side of a 5002AD, only. Other right and left-handed double bass drum pedal versions are available by special order.
